Meet Brady, a spirited adult dog who's always ready for a game of fetch. His intelligence shines through his quick learning of new tricks and commands. He has already shown that he knows sit, shake, and down. Brady is full of energy, often seen jumping around in excitement. Despite his playful nature, Brady is also independent, capable of entertaining himself when needed. His friendly demeanor makes him a pleasure to be around. Brady's curiosity keeps him alert, always eager to confidently explore his surroundings. He also seems to be house trained, a testament to his smart nature. Brady's loud bark is a sign of his strength as is his leading you around while on a leash. He weighs 67 pounds so he can be a bit of a challenge to walk. Despite his energetic nature, Brady knows when to calm down, showing his well-rounded personality. We haven't seen him interact with children or other dogs yet. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

A second dog or puppy, adopted within 30 days of the first adoption receives a $20 discount.

Any dog/puppy adopted at the same time as a cat/kitten will be adoptable at a $20 discount.

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
