Hi, My name is Maxx and I came up from Kentucky to find my furever family. I am a 5 month old German Shepard/Boxer mix. I weigh about 11 pounds now but should grow to be a medium sized dog. I love playing with my foster family and spend a lot of time playing with my big foster fur brother Pete. I love cuddling with my humans and taking naps, especially curled up beside them on the couch. My favorite toys are stuffed toys that squeek because I enjoy shaking them as fast as I can while I pounce around. I spend my days playing with toys and my fur brother Pete while making sure my foster dad is working on his computer. When I nap, i like to be next to my humans. When it is time for bed or when my people have to leave, I will chase a treat right into my crate. I sleep through the night and wait for my people to let me out of my crate in the morning. Sometimes I will cry a little at first but I quickly fall asleep. I am working on potty training and I know that when I go outside it is time to do my business. I will use potty pads if my humans don’t recognize that I need to go out. I love walking on the leash. I know how to sit when asked and I am working on the command "HERE". I am good with kids and other dogs. I am not sure about cats as I have never met one. I am looking for my furever home. If you are looking for a sweet, playful, cuddle bug, then I’m your guy!

Submit Application

First you will need to submit an application on our website. Once your application is received we distribute to our volunteers to process.

2.
Home Check

This visit is a non dog meeting where a volunteer will meet with you and the members of your household to discuss the adoption process.

3.
Approve Application

Once you have been approved you will need to contact us via email or Facebook to add your name to the list for one of our dogs.

4.
Meet the Pet

Once your name comes up in the order of approved adopters, the foster will contact you to schedule a meeting.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have had a meet and greet you get 24 hours to think of weather you'd like to adopt. Both the foster and adopter must mutually agre
