🌱 My Story:
Hello world! My name is Cookie and I’m currently 6 years old. When you first see me, you’ll just love the way I look. I have collie’s narrow head shape with silky golden-beige coat. Too bad I can’t show off my appearance now, but please do check my YouTube link attached (don’t forget to “Like” and “Subscribe” our channel heehee!) for details! You’ll just fall in love with me.

Did you know that I love hooman and furry friends? I just love everyone!!! Although I’m crate-trained, when you open the crate, I often jump and run only because I’m just so happy all the time. I’m full of curiosity, energy (not too much though), and love to greet new friends. Yes. I love socializing! When I meet new friends I usually approach them first. For hoomans, when I first meet them, I get so excited that I jump up and down. But don’t get me wrong. This doesn’t mean I’m being aggressive. So please be patient with me. I’m sure I can improve if you train me. Many hoomans describe me as an intelligent dog and I totally agree with it! It must be my collie DNA or something as I can easily tell how hoomans feel. I think I’m born with it. So again, if you train me, I know I’ll be a good companion. Cats? What’s that? I don’t even know who they are and I have no idea how I’ll react when I see them.

I enjoy outdoor activities, especially long-walks and hiking as I’m a good walker. It takes a lot of my energy so when I come home, I like to sit and rest peacefully. I usually don’t bark and stay nicely in a crate. I also don’t guard my food against hoomans and furry friends. I generally take my potty break outside. When I visit new places, I tend to mark so please keep that in mind.

I can still remember my first time entering my shelter back in 2018. I was a skinny little puppy and it’s already been 6 years ever since! Despite my time in the shelter, many hoomans say “Cookie is a great, calm dog.” I’m so ready to bring warmth and joy to your home! If you’re looking for a sweet, loving, and clever companion, I’m the one! Let’s make some wonderful memories together ❤️

Additional adoption info

Most of our dogs are currently in Korea. After we give approvals, we arrange the flight schedule for rescued dogs. Some of our rescued dogs are being fostered in GTA/States. Please check their locations on profiles.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

If the dog is in a foster home in North Carolina, the potential adopter will go to the foster home to do meet and greet.
Most of our dogs are in South Korea and they will fly to North Carolina if they finds a foster home or adopter, and the adopter will meet the dog at the airport.

More about this rescue

Chenny's Happy Tails Rescue Canada is a not-for-profit group(Corporate name: 12023318 CANADA FOUNDATION) registered in Canada, based in Toronto, Canada.

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.

We are committed to finding forever homes for dogs in Canada.
Chenny's Happy Tails Korea rescues and rehabilitates dogs to make them ready to be adopted.
Chenny's Happy Tails Canada works on finding the best adopter for each dog who can provide them a forever loving home and reliable care.
