For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Carver-Scott Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
We call this little peanut our mousy girl. She has very petite features and her grey/white patterns give us mousy vibes. She is a very laid-back kitten. She is a little slower to warm up than her siblings, but once you get her started the purrs DO NOT stop.
She is a cuddler and loves to have her chin and belly rubbed. She particularly loves any toy with ribbons, and she can jump so high trying to play with her ribbon toy! She loves cuddling with her brothers and sisters, but also has an independent streak. We think she would do well in a house with or without other animals. Is this sweet lady your perfect match?
Chickpea is a female, 2 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.
If you would like to meet Chickpea, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website today!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
