For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Carver-Scott Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
This little girl has always been the smallest in the litter. She is a petite little black kitty, but if you look closely, you will see some ghost tabby stripes/spots AND a few little white patches. She is a complete love. She loves to be right near you, cuddling, snuggling, purring away.
She is very calm and enjoys napping and snuggling. She would do well in a house with or without other animals, she does fine with proper intros. She loves to be held up close to your face, and chin/neck scratches will put her to sleep almost immediately. Is this sweet girl your next cuddle buddy?
Adzuki is a female, 2 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.
If you would like to meet Adzuki, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website today!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
