My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

This little boy is active and curious. He knows what he wants and isn't afraid to use his voice to let you know how he feels. If you walk into a room with him and he doesn't get the attention he wants you better believe he will be meeping, chirping, and meowing at you until you FINALLY pet him.

He is a snuggle bug and is a total PURR machine. He has got kitten energy and loves to play; he loves all kinds of toys - bonus if it moves or makes noise. He would do best in an active house. He does well with other cats and dogs with the proper intros. He is very curious about all human and animals friends he would do best in a house with another animal, he would definitely be lonely alone. He also looks like his mama's twin, he's got some adorable black spots and I swear it looks like he's wearing a batman mask. Is this little goofy playful boy your next best friend?

Navy is a male, 2 months old. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with his vaccinations.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
