Why I need a new home

Busy schedule

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I rescued Russell when he was 1 months old in Lafayette, LA. He is now approaching 8 years old. Unfortunately, due to my lifestyle and military aspirations, my schedule does not mesh well with is needs. For his new home, he needs someone stable, quiet, and peaceful. He does not require much - only 1 hour of walking. His new home should be with someone that does not travel often.

Russell is attentive, observant, and especially attune to his humans' emotions. Russell requires someone to boss him gently who does not allow him to walk over you. Russell is definitely a one-person owner. Once he loves you, he will be loyal to you. Russell is selective to certain energy. If he feels you are a threat, he will be weary of you. Russell has been trained militant style (lol), so he will obey all commands and listen such as getting off furniture, following you off leash, and waiting for his food.

Russell is a great alert dog.
