Marpa, affectionately known as “Marp,” may be the smallest of her siblings, but she has the biggest heart. This brave little girl is always the first to explore new friendships—she even made fast friends with her foster family's dog! But don’t let her adventurous spirit fool you—Marp’s favorite place is curled up in your lap or on your chest, soaking up all the love she can.

This sweet, black beauty has been through a lot, including overcoming a bout of ringworm that delayed her debut on the adoption scene. Throughout her treatment, Marp was a model patient, well-behaved during baths and medication. Now, she’s healthy, full of purrs, and ready to find her forever home.

Marpa is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly cuddly, making her the perfect companion for someone who wants a snuggly kitten. If you’re looking for a loving and loyal little companion who’s been brave through it all, Marpa is ready to light up your home with her warmth and endless purrs.

Young kittens thrive best with a companion, as it supports their emotional and physical development. She shares a special bond with her sisters Tilly and Naropa, and would do best in a home with one of them by her side.

Once an application is received an Adoption Counselor will call to discuss your preferences and set up a "Meet & Greet" appointment.

Meet the Pet

A cat or kitten can go home the same day as a "meet & greet".

Home Check

At our discretion, a home visit may be required. Adopters agree to keep cat(s) indoors only and to not declaw.

We offer "Meet & Greets" by appointment. To schedule an appointment to meet our cats/kittens please go to peterzippifund.org and submit the online adoption application form. A link is located on the right-hand side of our Home Page. Once received, an Adoption Counselor will contact you within 72 hours or less to book your appointment.

Adoption Fee: $125.00

Our adoption fee generally covers everything your new feline friend needs to start their journey with you:

*Spaying or Neutering: Ensuring the well-being of our cats and controlling the pet population.
*Microchipping: A permanent identification method to keep your furry friend safe.
*Vaccinations: Up-to-date vaccines tailored to the specific needs of each cat.
*Fecal Testing and Deworming: A comprehensive approach to intestinal health.
*Viral Testing (FeLV/FIV): Conducted on all adults and most kittens based on their origin.
*Comprehensive Blood Work: For many of our adult cats, ensuring their overall current health.

In addition to all standard treatments outlined above, many of our cats and kittens have received costly treatment for other maladies that result from abandonment or starting life on the streets.

Of course, if you would like to make a larger donation to help cover our care for the homeless cats, we would be delighted. All donations over the adoption fee are tax deductible.

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund For Animals was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have adopted out over 14,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. The fund sponsors spay/neuter vouchers to qualified persons, and shelter for and adoptions of lost and homeless animals.
