My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Naropa, or 'Narp' as she’s lovingly called, is an adventurous and independent spirit with a heart full of love. As the leader of her siblings, she’s usually the first to explore, jump, and play. Watching Narp’s playful energy unfold is pure joy—she’s a kitten full of curiosity and enthusiasm.

While Naropa thrives on exploration and playtime, she also has a sweet, affectionate side. Once she’s done with her romps, she enjoys quiet moments of cuddling while purring softly in your arms. Though she’s a bit more reserved with new people at first, give her just a little time, and her warm, loving nature will shine through.

Naropa and her sisters went through a ringworm treatment that delayed their adoption, but Narp was a trooper throughout, patiently enduring her baths and medication. Now healthy and ready for her forever home, she’s a perfect mix of independence and affection, making her the ideal companion for someone who appreciates both playfulness and snuggles.

If you’re looking for a kitten who can bring adventure, affection, and curiosity into your home, Naropa is ready to be your playful, loving partner in crime.

Young kittens thrive best with a companion, as it supports their emotional and physical development. Naropa shares a special bond with her sisters Tilly and Marpa, adopting a pair would surely be double the joy.

Adoption Fee: $125.00

Our adoption fee generally covers everything your new feline friend needs to start their journey with you:

*Spaying or Neutering: Ensuring the well-being of our cats and controlling the pet population.
*Microchipping: A permanent identification method to keep your furry friend safe.
*Vaccinations: Up-to-date vaccines tailored to the specific needs of each cat.
*Fecal Testing and Deworming: A comprehensive approach to intestinal health.
*Viral Testing (FeLV/FIV): Conducted on all adults and most kittens based on their origin.
*Comprehensive Blood Work: For many of our adult cats, ensuring their overall current health.

In addition to all standard treatments outlined above, many of our cats and kittens have received costly treatment for other maladies that result from abandonment or starting life on the streets.

Of course, if you would like to make a larger donation to help cover our care for the homeless cats, we would be delighted. All donations over the adoption fee are tax deductible.

Why Choose Peter Zippi?

At Peter Zippi Memorial Fund, we're not just about adoptions; we're about creating lifelong connections between our feline friends and loving families. Our Adoption Counselors are dedicated to making your adoption experience joyful and memorable.

*We often offer hard-to-place and special needs cats.*

At Peter Zippi, we believe that kittens under 5 months of age thrive best with a feline companion. To ensure their happiness and healthy development, we adopt kittens in pairs or to homes with an age-appropriate resident cat. Growing up with another cat helps kittens learn social skills, provides essential companionship, and encourages active play. We appreciate your understanding and support in giving our kittens the best start in life!

Thank you for considering adopting from Peter Zippi Memorial Fund, where every cat's journey to a forever home begins with support from the community.

More about this rescue

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund For Animals was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have adopted out over 14,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. The fund sponsors spay/neuter vouchers to qualified persons, and shelter for and adoptions of lost and homeless animals.
