My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Dolly and I am a lovely Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd mix with a blue eye and a brown eye, and I'm about 3 years old, and weigh 49 lbs. I am a happy and loving girl with fun energy for any activity, running, hiking, shopping trips to Home Depot, or just playing in the yard with other dogs or my human pack. I make friends easily with everyone I meet including strangers, and I adore kids and babies. I'm great with other dogs and make a wonderful doggy playmate even in a pack of many larger dogs. I love all dog toys, but the chew bones are my favorite. I’m affectionate, love pets and tummy rubs, and just chilling out while we catch our favorite flicks on TV. I'm fully housebroken and well-behaved, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE going for walks and taking rides in the car.

I’ve come a long way from my start in San Antonio Texas as a pregnant stray with a litter of puppies underneath a building. It was week-long freezing temps when 4 Little Paws Rescue heard about us and saved us all. Fast forward to today and my puppies have all found forever homes in or near Connecticut and now it’s my turn. If you live anywhere on the East Coast and are looking for a canine companion who is exceptionally sweet and loyal with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for any activity, you’ve just hit the jackpot and found me. Inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
