Even at an estimated age of 12, Butterfly still has an intoxicating zest for life and the temperament of a much younger dog. She may be small in stature, but she still lights up any room she walks into...and that's just part of her story! Butterfly is like a prize-fighter, who even after getting hit and knocked out, keeps getting up and simply refuses to let anything keep her down!! When she came to us from a Mississippi shelter she was heartworm positive and not in very good health. After a long and careful Heartworm treatment, Butterfly was spayed and had a large mammary tumor removed from her belly. Thankfully she came through like a champ and continues to make progress every single day. Despite her ordeals, Butterfly's spirit was never broken. Her foster says she is the happiest dog she has ever met. She's literally happy all the time. She loves to eat, adores her treats and always has a smile on her face. She gets an A+ on potty training, does a great job on leash walks, loves playing with other dogs, both big and small, loves being the center of attention and is very affectionate and outgoing! She even likes to watch TV and her favorite channel is Animal Planet! If you're looking for a spirited senior Beagle with a great story, an infectious smile, who just wants to live her best life and make you happy, then Butterfly is exactly who you've been waiting for. The SouthEast Beagle Rescue Inc is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new loving homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused Beagles and Beagle mixed dogs. We strive to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying/neutering our Beagles prior to adoption. We shall also be a resource to the community for information on the Beagle breed. We are an all volunteer and foster based not-for-profit organization.
