Hi there! I’m Rex, an 9-month-old mini Golden Retriever with a heart full of love and a spirit of adventure.
I may have had a rough start when my three siblings and I were found running in the middle of a very busy highway, but thanks to a kind-hearted good samaritan, I’m here to tell my happy tale. I consider myself incredibly lucky and thankful to be rescued before anything bad happened. Despite my early experiences, I’m a happy-go-lucky pup who adores hanging out with people and my furry friends. I even met the family cat, a bit unsure at first but we warmed up to eachother, ! I’m a smart cookie and love learning new tricks every day. Running around and playing are my favorite activities. It would be adream to have a furry brother or sister I can play with all day long!
I absolutely love going to the park to meet new friends, and I can’t wait to find my forever family and have a home to call my own. Training: yes/ minimal, please be patient with me. I am a very fast learner and given the opportunity, I will learn all the tricks there is in no time.

House trained:yes, Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home.
Health notes: I have been spayed dewormed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccination.

Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems!
Basic training should be taken seriously and should begin within a couple weeks or so AFTER arrival. Check out courses in your local area and enroll right away. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver

While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs.
The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.
Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
[MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
