Animal Profile: Chai is a sweet beagle mix that was found as a baby in Del Rio, TX. We love her unique, hairless muzzle because it's a sign of all she went through. Chai was very sick with puppy strangles, but she survived and is now thriving in her foster home. She can be a little unsure about new things, but with a little help from her furry friends and foster parents, she is learning that the world is a wonderful place! Chai would do best in a home outside the city as she will be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. She would love her own fenced yard, and needs at least one other dog in her forever home.
Foster Update: Chai is a little love bug! She quickly made friends with the resident dogs in her foster home, and will follow wherever they go. She plays with her paws like a little cat, and snuggles up like one too. Chai can be a little unsure about new places, but she has been learning that things are not so bad here in Washington. She has had a chance to explore lush green gardens, sandy beaches, and seems to enjoy a good car ride.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
