My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Megamouth was brought in by a community member on September 10, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Megamouth! Megamouth is currently residing with his sibling, Angelshark #924184 and they would prefer to be adopted together. Megamouth is still learning how to interact with the world! Because of this, he is a bit shy when meeting new people and is required to have another cat-social cat or kitten in his new home. The way to this kitten's heart is to offer lots of positive interactions and patience while they warm up to you. This kitten will need to be kept in a small, quiet room as he discovers his new home and be allowed to go at his own pace. Just think of the special bond you'll share because you helped this kitten come out of their shell! Megamouth is recovering from an upper respiratory infection (a kitty cold) and is currently on antibiotics. Ready to adopt Megamouth? Grab a carrier and bring him home today!

Shy/Fearful Cat: Megamouth requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
