My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: T'CHALLA AND WICKET ARE CURRENTLY IN FOSTER AND NOT VIEWABLE AT THE SHELTER. If you feel you'd be a good match, please submit an application in order to be considered for a meet and greet.

Meet T'Challa!

This very pregnant girl came to us back in June, where, just two days later, she became a proud mother to 4 adorable fluffballs! At just 8 months old, T'Challa was still a kitten herself and much too young for motherhood. Despite this, she did a wonderful job raising her kittens! Now that they're weaned, she's ready to let loose and experience the kittenhood she never had.

T'Challa wants nothing more than to be your best friend, and to show you how much she loves you. She will eagerly jump up beside you on the sofa or chair, and demand you give her tons of attention. Although she craves affection, T'Challa is also very good at understanding when enough is enough, and is perfectly capable of being independent.

T'Challa adores playing (particularly with wand toys), and has a fondness for climbing cat trees. Chasing balls or catnip toys is another of her favored pastimes. She shows great interest in meeting other cats, so would likely do well alongside other cats after an introductory period. She is fine with respectful young children, but may not do as well with toddlers.

Finally, we are looking for a home that will keep T'Challa indoors-only. Given her curious nature, we believe she'd love hanging out in a catio/enclosed deck or accompanying her human on leashed walks. Alternatively, you can bring the outside in with strategically placed bird-feeders and pollinator plants!

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be T'Challa's person? Apply today!

TIP: We strongly suggest all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be contacting select individuals to further review their interest. While we do our best to let applicants know whether they've been selected or not, the center is extremely busy! If you do not hear back within a week, it's likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

PLEASE NOTE that some animals may not be available for public viewing due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kittens are not available for viewing as they are often in foster homes for health & safety reasons.

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!
