My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lily, a lovable and gentle German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines bright! She's 9 years old, she is the perfect blend of playful energy and calm companionship. With her striking coat and soulful brown eyes, Lily is not only beautiful but also incredibly affectionate.

Lily thrives on human interaction and loves nothing more than to snuggle up with her favorite people. She enjoys long walks and playful romps in the yard. She can take a minute to warm up to knew people and her surroundings.

This sweet girl is eager to learn and already knows basic commands. With a little guidance, she'll be ready to adventure with her forever family and explore all life has to offer. Lily is looking for a forever home where she can share her love and joy with a caring family.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving dog who will shower you with loyalty and affection, Lily is waiting for you! Come meet her today and see for yourself just how special she is!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
