My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Daisy, the incredible mom who's now ready to find her very own family! 🌸 After raising her pups, Daisy has discovered the joys of toys-fetch is her absolute favorite! Whether it's hiking, following her human around, or snuggling up, Daisy is always up for an adventure, this girl is active and ready to go on long hikes with her people and doggy friends! Daisy has learned lots of things while in foster, she has learned how fun it is to live with dogs, how not to bark at chickens and horses, how much she loves activity, and how not barking at people out the window has proven to be a bit of a challenge.

Daisy is house-trained, smart, and has been great with kids 4 years and older. While she's curious about cats, she doesn't chase them. She's been living in a home with other small dogs and has met many older kids and appropriate large dogs.

Daisy is currently in foster and not viewable in shelter. This sweet girl needs an active family that loves doing things together-because sitting around bored isn't her style. If you're looking for a loyal, adventurous companion who's ready to snuggle at a moment's notice, Daisy would be a perfect fit! 🐾❤️ #AdoptDaisy #FamilyDog #AdventureBuddy #FosterToAdopt

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
