It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process.

Introducing Penny! This beautiful brindle colored cutie came to us from our friends at Chelmsford Animal Control after her owner became homeless and could no longer care for her. Special thanks to ACO Mark and team for working with this sweetie while she awaited rescue placement. Amazing PittieLove foster Alex and resident pup Bear jumped right in to give this girl a safe space to stretch her legs and get out all of her young pup energy. Penny absolutely loves running full speed chasing a frisbee with her foster brother, sometimes she even lets him have it   She’s a smart cookie, easily picking up on basic training with her foster dad. Penny is as sweet as they come, proudly demonstrating all the things we love about house hippos. She’s incredibly affectionate, often forgetting that she doesn’t weigh 15 pounds as she crawls on to her person's lap. Car rides are a huge treat for miss Penny, she loves riding shotgun with her cute little blockhead resting on the center console. She’s also shown her foster dad that she’s a perfectly polite little lady in the home- she’s housebroken and doesn’t touch any items that aren’t hers! Penny adores her four-legged foster brother and could thrive in a home with another similarly energetic and tolerate pup. Because of her exuberance, she would do best in a home with older kiddos. If you and your family are looking to grow by the sweetest copper brindle baby, look no further and fill out an adoption application!

More about this rescue

PittieLove Rescue Inc. is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of the American Pit Bull Terrier. As one of the most abused and misunderstood “breeds” of all time, PittieLove’s number one goal is for our rescued dogs to never suffer from neglect or abuse again, carefully placing them into loving homes where they will be ambassadors for the breed.
Working closely with MA shelters, MA animal control facilities and fellow rescue organizations, we help as many dogs in need as we have foster homes for. Before the dogs come into our rescue, they undergo a thorough temperament evaluation. If they pass, they are then placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training and lots of socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). Our dogs are up to date on their vaccinations (age appropriate), spayed/neutered and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
