My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a Loyal Companion? Do you wake up every day ready to play ball? Do you love yummy treats? So does Bella!

Bella is 7 years old, fully vaccinated, and spayed. She is full of life and energy. She is highly intelligent and knows basic commands. There is no limit to what she can learn with proper training. She is house broken, crate trained and learns new routines quickly. She is still perfecting her leash manners but is eager to please. Bella is very well behaved (most of the time). She is not a counter surfer, shes not a chewer, destroyer or a digger. Its super easy to give her medicine - just throw it in her bowl with her food or put it in a treat. She doesnt drool excessively or beg for human food. She also does not jump up onto the furniture.

Background: Bella has spent her life as the devoted companion to an older woman who recently passed away. She provided love, company and entertainment. Her little world has been turned upside down and she is ready to find her new, forever home.

Since Bella has lived a somewhat sheltered life, she can be anxious at times - especially when her routine is disrupted. She will need a confident owner who can provide stability and understanding. She thrives with a strong leader who can help her feel secure.

Bella would like a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and of course play fetch! SHE LIVES TO PLAY BALL! Ball launcher is definitely required.

We arent sure yet how she is with other animals but we suspect she would benefit from another dog companion.

If you think Bella might be the Good Girl you have been searching for, please submit your application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
