My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy post. Maui was being sold in a bar and a good samaritan stepped up to help him. They can't keep him, and Maui urgently needs a home NOW. If you are interested in adopting Maui, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the folks who currently have him.

Here's what they have to say about him:

Meet Maui – A Smart & Loving Puppy Looking for His Forever Home!

Maui is a 4-month-old Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd mix, full of energy, intelligence, and love. We’ve been fostering Maui for the past few weeks, and in that short time, he’s already learned to potty outside and cries to let you know when he needs to go! Maui is very social and loves interacting with other dogs. He’s great with kids but is still teething, so he’ll need someone patient. He enjoys naps, snuggles, and thrives in the company of people.

While Maui is sensitive to loud noises like motorbikes and rollerbladers, he’s otherwise an easygoing pup who will be an excellent companion for someone who can give him the love, attention, and care he deserves. A backyard would be a plus for him to run and play in. Please note, Maui has not had his shots yet and is not neutered, so his new family will need to take care of that.

Maui was named with lots of love and prayers and is ready to be part of a special home! If you’re ready to welcome this incredible pup into your life, contact us today!

More about this rescue

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.

We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.

Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
