Do you have room in your heart and home for a "house feral"?

Luna is a petite gray Tabby-mix with stunning eyes and gentle disposition. She was living outside, in a family's dog house and was pregnant - when we were contacted to help. She arrived the night before going into labor with 5, beautiful babies. She was a doting Mama and all of her kittens have found good, loving homes.

Now it's Luna's turn!! She lived in a foster home with a busy family of 5 plus two dogs. Unfortunately, she's still very shy and fearful but we didn't have the heart to put her back outside.

PLEASE consider giving this deserving a girl a good life in your home or spacious cattery? She gets along great with other felines and dogs. You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled on our Facebook page: Save The Leadwell Kitties in Photo Album #32.

Luna's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* and Microchipping (if you so desire)!

~ $150. is our normal adoption fee - but we're willing to waive that with the right adopter. Adoption contract and home check apply ~

* Please only contact us if you'll be making Luna a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.

** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

Submit Application

Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.

2.
Interview

Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.

3.
Home Check

If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.

4.
Meet the Pet

Typically, we'd conduct the home ck prior to the meet-n-greet. That way, you can take the cat/kitten(s) home with you!

Pay Fee

Our adoption fee is $150 (unless otherwise stated), $250 for a pair.

The $150 adoption fee typically covers de-worming, flea treatment (Revolution), FVRCP vaccine(s), Rabies vaccine (if cat is old enough), combo test (for FIV/FeLV), micro-chipping and sterilization.

It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue

We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?
