My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aeson is a lively and affectionate 4-month-old cream Havanese puppy who's always ready to play and cuddle. The larger and more energetic of his litter, Aeson has a smart and curious nature-he learned to sit in just two days! He's a true foodie, with a particular love for chicken and beef treats, though salmon doesn't make the list of his favorites.

Despite his playful energy, Aeson also has a nurturing side, often providing emotional support to his brother, Calix. He's adaptable to his surroundings, adjusting well to the energy of the home, and enjoys spending quiet time in his crate. Aeson shares his toys, bed, and food easily, making him a great companion for other pets.

Aeson prefers sleeping on cool tile with white noise in the background, and he's already crate trained with no accidents. He's great with other dogs, enjoys car rides, and is highly food motivated, which makes training easy. He's also quick to pick up on commands like "sit and prefers wearing a harness over a collar.

With his balance of energy, affection, and smarts, Aeson is the perfect mix of playful and loving-ready to bring joy and companionship to his forever home!

* Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
