My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Vinny! I am still adjusting to domestic horse life here at the rescue. With time, I am learning to trust, although new people and places still make me nervous!

Vinny is a 14hh chestnut gelding that was rescued from the Stroud Oklahoma Auction. We suspect Vinny is mostly blind in one eye and it has led to him being nervous and distrustful. We believe with continued handling and training, we may be able to earn Vinny's trust and begin to treat his eye. Right now, Vinny can be haltered and we are working on leading, giving to pressure, and grooming. Vinny loves treats and will do well with a patient, mustang-experienced home who can give him the time and love he needs to flourish!
