For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Carver-Scott Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $460, plus Tax
Location: Foster Home
Milo is an incredibly sweet boy who loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch. When snuggling, he will rub his face and body all over you to show you how much he loves you! He enjoys playing with his foster brother and loves to play tug of war with his toys. Milo does amazing in his kennel during the day and is potty trained. Milo loves to go for walks and run around in our backyard. He does pull some on his leash and is working with his foster parents on this. Milo also loves lying on the kitchen floor and looking out the sliding glass door. If you are looking for a sweet boy to brighten your day, Milo is your guy :)
If you are interested in meeting Milo, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott website!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
