My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm in Toronto Foster home

Once a stray, this furry friend found themselves at a city shelter, facing an uncertain fate on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a compassionate rescuer spotted this sweet soul and made the decision to give them a second chance.
At first, I might seem a bit shy, but rest assured, I warm up quickly, especially when there are delicious treats involved. With some positive encouragement, I'm more than happy to become your best friend and allow even strangers to hold, lift, and carry me with ease. Once I'm at ease, I'll proudly show my belly, inviting those cherished belly rubs. I’m still not comfortable when people are too close when I’m eating so if you can give me a space to enjoy the meal by myself that would be much appreciated.

When it comes to other dogs, I'm a gentle spirit. I'll approach them with a soft hello, though I'm less likely to engage in playful interactions. If another dog appears uncomfortable or shy, I'll gracefully give them space, prioritizing a peaceful encounter.

Though I've never encountered a cat, my demeanor and energy levels suggest I'm less likely to chase small animals. My energy is on the lower side, making me a calming presence in any household. While walking, my excitement may lead me to pull a bit, but I'm quick to settle and follow the handler with grace.

Sharing is caring, and I'm all about it—I don't guard resources from people or other dogs. Barking isn't a habit of mine, and I've mastered crate training. When I’m in a room by myself I do destroy few things but once i feel comfortable around the space and know that it’s a safe zone, that behaviour will change for sure.
If you're seeking a low-energy, calm, and gentle dog, I'm the perfect addition to your home. I'll sit beside you, gazing lovingly with adoration in my eyes. Pets and scratches bring me immense joy—I'll even close my eyes, wearing a big smile, revelling in your attention.
Now, about my diet—I may gain weight a bit faster than other dogs, but fear not, I'm not overly food-obsessed. I'm simply a delightful companion who enjoys your company and the occasional treat. Let's make beautiful memories together—your love and attention will complete my story. 🐾❤️

More about this rescue

Adopt Jindo Rescue is the sister rescue to Adopt Korean Rescue and Welcome Dog Korea
Business number (BN) | 711181156 RC0001

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.
