My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jupiter is our 1-year-old Spitz mix with a big personality packed into her 15 lbs frame!

Jupiter’s journey began in a heartbreaking high-kill shelter in Sejong City, Korea, before her rescue by the Korean K9 Rescue team. She has since made the voyage to NYC and is with her fosters, ready to meet her forever family.

Sometimes, when she blinks, it’s like she’s giving you a cheeky little wink. Toys aren't her thing just yet, but she’s happiest outdoors, and no noise is too much for this brave girl.

Jupiter would do best in an active household. She loves her walks and even gives a cute bounce off her back legs when she gets excited to head out the door. She’s friendly towards people and okay with other dogs, but prefers a home without cats or small children.

If you’re looking for an adventure buddy who will fill your days with love and bring a little more excitement to your life, Jupiter might just be the one.

More about this rescue

Korean K9 Rescue is a volunteer-driven No-Kill dog rescue organization based in Queens, New York and Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea As a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we transport homeless and mistreated dogs from South Korea and place them with loving forever families, primarily in New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles. Because of an unfortunate stigma surrounding mixed-breed dogs–and the dog meat trade that persists within the country–many dogs in South Korea are unlikely to be adopted at home and are in grave danger of being euthanized.

We believe that all dogs should be happy and free. With our partners in Korea, we are stepping in to help at-risk dogs live healthy, happy, long lives. Please join us in our mission!
