My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ttu is the sweetest 2-year-old Jindo/Chihuahua mix, weighing just 11lbs. All of our pups pass through our Rescue Center in Bundang, South Korea, where we ensure they’re healthy, build their trust, and really get to know their unique personalities before matching them with the perfect home.

Ttuu-i gets along beautifully with dogs and cats and has been thriving in her foster home here in NYC. She’s completely comfortable indoors, curious to explore every room, and loves nudging in for some extra pets. Ttuu does best with early morning and evening walks, where she shows off her adorable stretches and reaches out her neck to take in all the new scents. She’s a little adventurer at heart! Ready to give this precious girl a loving home? Please submit your application through the link below and meet her at our weekend adoption events.

More about this rescue

Korean K9 Rescue is a volunteer-driven No-Kill dog rescue organization based in Queens, New York and Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea As a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we transport homeless and mistreated dogs from South Korea and place them with loving forever families, primarily in New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles. Because of an unfortunate stigma surrounding mixed-breed dogs–and the dog meat trade that persists within the country–many dogs in South Korea are unlikely to be adopted at home and are in grave danger of being euthanized.

We believe that all dogs should be happy and free. With our partners in Korea, we are stepping in to help at-risk dogs live healthy, happy, long lives. Please join us in our mission!
