Meet Pumpkin Pie, a sweet and curious 6-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for his forever home! Pumpkin Pie is easy to leash and enjoys his walks, taking in all the new scents around him. He may pull a little at first, but once he’s in the park, he settles into a relaxed rhythm, happy to explore every inch. He`s calm and gentle around other dogs, only occasionally showing interest in a nearby friend but never getting too worked up.

Pumpkin Pie is a thoughtful guy who observes his surroundings and remains easygoing even when passing people. He does great on leash, especially when rewarded with his favorite treat—cheese! He knows `sit` well and will sometimes approach you for some quiet neck and chest scratches, happily leaning in for more.

Pumpkin Pie would be a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a mellow dog with an independent streak. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle friend who’ll enjoy both exploring and cozying up with you, Pumpkin Pie might just be your perfect match!

Pasadena Humane is a donor-supported, nonprofit organization that provides animal care and services for homeless and owned animals in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The organization is dedicated to promoting humane treatment and compassion and care for all animals. The animals in its care come from 11 animal control contract cities, as well as partner shelters across the Los Angeles area and beyond. Pasadena Humane also offers lifesaving programs and services to the community that support the human-animal bond and keep pets in homes.
