Oklahoma Humane Society received seven homeless dogs displaced by Hurricane Francine. The ASPCA transported these dogs to Oklahoma as part of the disaster relief support for animals impacted by the storm and subsequent flooding. All pets were in a shelter and unowned before the storm hit. Blank is one of the seven dogs now available for adoption at the Oklahoma Humane Society.
Meet Parrish! With his stunning white and tan coat and wiggly, playful energy, Parrish is sure to charm anyone he meets. Parrish is still very much a puppy at heart. He`s full of enthusiasm, and his affectionate nature shines through when he seeks attention with his signature pawing and playful antics. He`s gentle on the leash during walks, although his puppy energy may cause him to jump up in excitement, he is working on this in foster home!
Because he`s still young and learning, Parrish is working on his manners. He tends to get a bit mouthy when he’s not the center of attention or during playtime, which is typical of many pups his age. He is making progress with basic obedience and responds well to consistent guidance, but he would thrive best in a home that understands his playful puppy behavior and is ready to continue his training.
An active, stable home with patient and mature guardians would be ideal for Parrish. Regular exercise and mental stimulation will be key in helping him burn off his energy and stay balanced. He may not yet know how he feels about cats or children, so gradual introductions will be important if you have other pets or young ones at home.
Parrish is a loving, spirited boy who’s eager to learn and share his joy with a forever family. If you’re looking for a companion full of potential, come meet Parrish today!

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.
Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.
Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.
Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
