Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Coni a handsome 2 yr old Chocolate Lab who arrived in Maine from a shelter in the South.
His current foster says he is strong boy on leash and loves to go for car rides and walks.
His current foster has a 4’ chain link fence and highly recommends an enclosed area for Coni to run free and get some exercise. He loves to play with all types of balls and frisbees which he loves to chew.
Indoors he is a giant love bug who will follow you around the house begging fo
r attention. He especially loves belly rubs. He sleeps on our bed.
We have crated him for short periods of time. He has not chewed at anything in our house but his toys.
Coni has gotten along with our two elderly cats after a slow introduction.
Coni is dog reactive on walks but has been introduced to neighbors dogs with little issue. He may need additional training to tamper his excitability seeing other dogs and with recall if he is to be off leash.
Coni loves kids but because of his size and energy older kids would be recommended. He is VERY active and will need to learn some manners when it comes to playing. I fenced in yard is recommended.
Coni loves treats and we haven’t found a food he doesn’t like.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
