I named this gorgeous girl Gracie because she has gray down her back but also she's very graceful. I think the name is appropriate! Gracie is a three year old 55 pound black, white, gray German Shepherd/husky mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/2 as a stray. She's a little timid at first so TLC and a slow introduction is suggested. I don't know where to begin to describe her appearance with the appropriate adjectives. I'll just say she's beautiful and awesome. She will turn heads when you take her for a walk. And she does do very well on the leash. After she explored the yard, she stayed very close to me. She's sweet, gentle, calm, well mannered, alert, and cautiously friendly. She doesn't know the sit command as she apparently has not been taught that, but that's some- thing you can teach her. She would definitely want ti please you. Huskies are known to try to escape because they like to run. Gracie definitely wanted to get out of the yard. She will need a tall secure fence. She would most likely do well with children since she's so sweet and gentle. Also, she wants to be a house dog where she could share family activities.
