Let me introduce myself, my name is Chestnut. I am looking for my forever family. I sure hope you choose me because I have a lot of love and laughs to give. I arrived at HSS from another rescue organization in hopes to find my favorite humans. Don`t get me wrong, the staff at HSS have been the best to me, but a shelter is not the perfect life for us kitties... I have a lot of energy so unless you have a kitty friend waiting for me at home to meet please consider bringing home one of my cute siblings. I promise to give life long love and smiles! Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
