My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Korrie. I’m a black and gray tabby girl with a pencil-eraser nose and luminous green eyes. I’ve also got that little bit of white under my chin and some trendy white “eyeliner” as well. I look absolutely up for anything, don’t I? You can’t tell at a glance, but I raised three kittens of my own this year and my foster mom says I did a great job with them. Now, I’m ready for a human family I can call my own and get back to chasing wands and attacking kicker toys, two of my favorite activities. I have a little wild spark in me and since I’m young, maybe 1-2 years old, I plan to get some quality play time in soon.

I’d most likely be okay with another cat companion, as there are resident cats in my foster home. We haven’t had time to hang out, though, because…kittens! There is also a resident dog and I don’t even blink when I hear barking, so a dog buddy might be an option. I like my space now and then, or I might change my mind when I’m ready for quality time with a human, enjoying my daily dose of petting and scritches.

I’m not really a fan of being carried around or anyone getting up in my face, though that may be a temporary thing. I’ve been protecting three small kittens, so I need to physically be able to get to them at a moment’s notice and anything that seems threatening to me, is bad for them. You’re getting some cat psychology 101 here, that’s how smart I am!

If you aren’t already intrigued by my finer qualities, I’ve got one more little quirk. I’ve got a curl in my tail, the tiniest little bend, and it looks like I’m beckoning to you. I was probably born with this twist, and one of my kittens has it, too. Who knew such a random thing could be so cute? If you think you can handle a sweet curly- tail independent girl who is ready for the next phase of her life, let’s make it happen!

Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! More about this rescue

Feral Fixers is dedicated to the Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR) of feral cats within DuPage county. As part of our mission, we also rescue friendly cats and kittens that have been abandoned outside. We socialize and provide medical care to these kitties in our foster homes, and then make them available for adoption.
