Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! 🐉 I’m Mushu the Bearded Dragon (yes, like from Mulan!). I was originally adopted in December 2023, but things didn’t work out with my previous home, so JRAAR took me back on 9/6/24. Now I’m once again on the lookout for my forever home—could it be with you?
Bearded Dragon Care Tips
(Pogona vitticeps)
Enclosure Size: Bearded dragons need plenty of space—an enclosure of at least 4x2x2 feet for adults.
Temperature & Lighting: A basking area of 95-105°F is important, with a cooler area around 75-85°F. Use a full-spectrum UVB light to ensure proper digestion and bone health.
Diet: Bearded dragons are omnivores. Mushu will enjoy a diet of leafy greens 🥬 (collard, dandelion, mustard greens), vegetables, and live insects like crickets, dubia roaches, and mealworms. Supplement with calcium and vitamins as needed.
Humidity: Keep humidity low, around 30-40%. A dry, well-ventilated enclosure is key.
Handling: Bearded dragons generally enjoy being handled, and Mushu would love some quality time out of his tank for snuggles and exploration!
Enrichment: Provide rocks, branches, and décor for climbing and basking. Bearded dragons love a good bask under the heat lamp and watching their surroundings.
