Meet handsome Bruno! He was surrendered to the shelter along with his friend, Chiquita, on 9/28 because the family stated they were downsizing. We're not exactly sure if that meant the house and they were moving, or downsizing on the number of animals they had. Anyhow, Bruno is now hoping for a new, loving forever home! Bruno's previous family kept him outside, so we'd love for him to experience being part of the family and living inside this time around. He is crate-trained, but will need work on house training. His previous family did say that he is good with kids and other dogs, which is great news!
Bruno is 4 years old, and he weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Bruno did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak to shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives his treatment. Bruno is waiting patiently in run 808; his ID # is 662213.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
