My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smitty is a sweet soul. He longs for and demands cuddles and pets. He likes to go for short walks.
He likes all kind of toys, stuffed toys, balls, ropes, bones, he is still trying to figure out the puzzle toys, he simply pops off the pieces covering the treat instead of sliding it over. He enjoys sitting outside with you for some fresh air
Smitty is not reactive, he's very calm with other dogs although he does enjoy a little rough and tumble and what we call big mouth. He is very smart and strategic but gets along very well with Coco (Amer. Bulldog). They cuddle up together, play together, follow commands together, walk together. He is also not aggressive towards cats. He just looks at them and otherwise ignores them.
He has a lot of puppy left in him but is eager and willing to learn. He does jump up on people and can be a bit nippy so young children would not be best for him.
He really enjoys to nap after a walk or a run around outside.
Overall he is a lovebug that expects attention and pets from every one he meets. He's very laidback once comfortable

More about this rescue

P3 is a united rescue effort to both save pitties and support veterans. At P3 we LOVE Pitties & we LOVE & RESPECT our Veterans! 2800 Pitties & Pittie Mixes are euthanized in overcrowded shelters every day, over 1 million every year. 22 Veterans commit suicide every day, over 8,030 per year. At P3 we find these numbers UNACCEPTABLE! P3 was created in March of 2024 with the goal of rescuing Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes from overcrowded shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia and providing the necessary training for them to provide emotional support, nightmare alerts, and pressure therapy during episodes of anxiety and stress so they can be paired with a Veteran struggling with PTSD reducing the risk of Veteran suicide. While we support our Veterans, our rescue is not limited to the placement of service dogs for Veterans only. Our Veterans program is only one aspect of what we do. We want to help EVERY pittie find the perfect furever family!
