Description:

Margherita Pizzakitty came into the rescue from someone who trapped her (near a pizza restaurant) because she needed medical attention. She had a small wound on one of her legs that has been treated. Margherita will need someone who is patient since she does need some time to get used to new surroundings. She will be scared and hide, a favorite hiding spot is under the bed. She has adjusted to being indoors but does like to sit on a window sill and look outside. She is not a lap kitty (yet) but when she gets to know you she will lay next to you. She likes to play with all kinds of cat toys especially wand toys.

Words to Describe Me: Shy, playful, smart

Kitty's Dislikes: Does not like being picked up and carried.

Favorite Treat: she likes most treats

Good with Cats: Prefers a home with no cats.
Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Submit Application

All Applications are completed online. Please allow 24 hours for processing. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply/

2.
Meet the Pet

Once approved, a meet 'n' greet will be scheduled.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet 'n' greet is a match, the contract will be completed and adoption fee will need to be remitted.

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
