Take the Pet Home
Nimbus has recently joined our family, and he's such a sweet kitty, though a bit timid. He enjoys being petted when he's in the mood, often rubbing against my legs for attention. He isn't a fan of being picked up, carried, or held, but I’m hopeful that as he becomes more comfortable, he’ll feel more confident.
I introduced him to one of my resident cats, and he was understandably scared—she wasn’t exactly welcoming, with her hissing and growling. For now, Nimbus has his own space where he’s settling in, and he’s using his litterbox well, which is encouraging given that he was surrendered for peeing outside of it, particularly on soft surfaces like beds.
He’s a large kitty with a luxurious coat and stunning blue eyes, and I suspect he was the only pet in his previous home. We’re excited to give him the time and love he needs to feel at ease in his new environment until he finds his forever home.
Nimbus is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
