My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Batman!

This handsome fellow was found wandering, and sadly, no owner came to claim him. Batman is a bit fearful but very calm and quiet, making him a gentle companion. At around 8 years old, he isn't yet leash-trained, but his foster is diligently working on that. He clearly loves being held, showing signs of having been a beloved lap dog in his past. Sweet and affectionate, Batman adores cuddles and is ready for his forever home! He will be a foster-to-adopt as he will be having his dental and neuter surgeries in the middle of October and we want him fully recovered before making that adoption final.

If you are interested in this sweet little senior man, please submit an online adoption questionnaire at

https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/

We will be giving preference to local applicants as he has to go back and forth to local vet appointments and that would be the responsibility of the foster.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
