My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What do you get when you mix a Border Collie/Aussie mom and a Husky dad?  This guy! Marsh was born around the middle of July and his situation for the first few weeks of his life was pretty rough - living in a dirty, unkempt backyard where there were multiple adult dogs and a couple of litters of puppies.  Hard clay dirt and no grass with no clean water and on top of that, almost no human contact.  Luckily Critter Cavalry was able to step in and help Marsh and his siblings, along with their mama.   They all came to live in a nice foster home where they quickly learned that there was so much more to life than what they had previously known!  Marsh has stunning brown and cream coloring, with touches of white, and mesmerizing eyes. We expect his adult weight to be in the 50 pound spectrum as an adult. Marsh is the clown of his litter, the attention getter and mischief maker (in a cute way). He leads the others in their games of tug and catch-me-if-you-can, and they happily let him lead the pack.  He pesters his mama until she reaches the end of her patience. When his foster mom sits down with the litter, Marsh is the first one to nose into her lap, trying to get ALL the attention. Marsh has also inherited the husky trait of 'talking' from his dad, so some very unique sounds come out of his mouth.  Anyone familiar with Huskies knows how interesting it can be to hear them talk. With his stellar good looks and engaging personality, you cannot help but fall in love the second you meet this special boy.

If you are interested in adopting one of the most adorable puppies around, consider contacting Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. He will be ready to hop on the van in Nashville October 12th and ride to meet a new family who will take him home to love for the rest of his life. Hold on to your horses and get ready for Marsh to invade your life in all the good and fun ways. Fenced yard is required.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
