Meet Horchata!. She is currently only 15 pounds, not yet 3 months old, and we think she may be a small Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place.

One look at Horchata and you are almost guaranteed to fall in love. We’re not saying that you’ll be dazzled by her beautiful markings, not entirely. She’s a gorgeous bright white, with adorable floppy ears – and one ear is chocolate brown while the other is white with freckles. In fact, Horchata has freckles all over her body, and we couldn’t love it more. She’s happy to show them off when she rolls over for chest and belly rubs (which is often). If you can see her tail when it’s still (only sometimes), you’ll notice that she has a dark brown marking at the base of her otherwise white tail that is too cute!
What you are MORE likely to be dazzled by is Horchata’s sunny disposition and affectionate nature. This dog loves people, kids of all ages, other dogs, treats – we might be hard-pressed to find something this friendly girl doesn’t find interesting and appealing. Horchata is curious and loves to investigate new things, in a calm and mellow way. She is so playful and quite the social butterfly – you can’t help but fall in love with this darling girl!
Horchata is currently in a loving foster home with several other dogs, ranging from a large German Shepherd, a medium Border Collie, to a small Yorkshire Terrier - and Horchata does so well around all of them! This smart cookie has already learned several commands like sit, stay, down, and fetch, and is learning more all the time. She has excelled at potty training and crate training too. This brilliant pup is ready to make an easy transition into her forever home with you.
Horchata is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood.

Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport.
Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
