Leo went to foster, here is what his foster family has to say about him: "Leo is super sweet, a little quiet and timid until he feels comfortable, he loves to play ball, go for walks, he likes pats, scratches and hugs. Leo has interreacted with a few other dogs, he likes to play and run. He does need to work on not pulling on leash, but he is a smart boy, and we are sure with training he will improve. He knows the commands sit, down and ball. Leo is an all-around loving guy!"
Leo is currently in foster care and not at the shelter if you are interested in learning more about him, please email adoptions@kitsap-humane.org

More about this shelter
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
