Junior puts the “j” into joyful. The more this 9-month-old black and white beauty accustoms himself to life in his foster home, the sweeter and snugglier he becomes. At 30 pounds and still growing, he loves cuddling with his fosters, resting his head on them, rolling over for belly rubs, having his coat brushed, and then faithfully following them through the house. Known for hiding his many toys, Junior gets along famously with puppies and female dogs, enjoys going for several walks a day, honing his leash skills along the way, playing fetch, chewing bones, and chasing after assorted balls and toys. Motivated by toys and love, he presently knows “sit” and “off,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now to make Junior even more joyful, he needs a patient and loving home (no cats, please), perhaps with a securely fenced yard and a small female dog already there, that will continue bolstering his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him in cuddles fur-ever.
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
