My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JJack is a 5-month-old Beagle hound mixed puppy. He is about 15-20 pounds currently and our best guess he won't get bigger than 30 lbs at maturity. Only a DNA test can confirm his exact mix! Our little boy is an adventurer and the first for everything. He always seems to be on the move, checking everything out. He likes attention, belly rubs, treats, and knows no strangers. Oh yes, he loooves tennis balls.

Jack has started leash and potty training and is doing well. He even knows his name and he knows the command 'no'. He even 'sits pretty' when presented with a tasty treat. He does well with other dogs and loves to play with toys. This boy will keep you laughing as he is all puppy! He attended a puppy yoga class and had a blast. He even nabbed some sunglasses and made a run for it! Much hilarity ensued. Jack was a fun boy at his photo session and was a great model for his Yoda costume. What an adorable pup. He has not been cat tested as foster does not have cats. He did well with kids at a social event and allowed them to pet him like a good boy.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
