My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 2/2/24

DOB: 2/02/2024.  Meet S’Mores, a tortie-kitten with a playful, curious, and adventurous spirit. While she loves spending time playing with her 3 other sister siblings and playing with various crinkle toys, tunnels, wand toys, and chasing lasers…this little cutie will find anything and everything to play with and/or chew on (including plastic spoons, foam blocks, pool noodles, and cardboard).  Needless to say she is playful and in the hype of kitten-hood teething so kitten proofing is advised as there is much to capture her fancy.  When she is not making mischief running after her kitten siblings, playing, and running around, she has a really calm and affectionate side and enjoys extended time cuddling and purring at your side, in your lap, or near your head or legs at bedtime. She has grown quite close to her foster dad who she allows to be held and accepting of belly rubs from him.  Though in “play mode” watch out, cause she may start to play with your hands or your feet! LOL

Origin story: S’Mores origin started out sad and a little scary, she hopes to find her happy ever after with her furrever home! She was born to a little-torti cat along with one other tortie sister and two black kitten sisters sadly were abandoned and quickly rescued from a high-rise building by the parking garage.

Special Needs: S’Mores and her siblings all tested positive for feline leukemia likely due to circumstances born to momma cat who was positive.  As such, she is a special needs cat and will need to be in a home that is able to accommodate to either being the only cat or to a home with other leukemia positive cats.  She is young sweet kitten who at present is full of life and showing no active signs of illness.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process involves a personal interview with one of our adoption counsellors. Potential adopters are asked questions about their family, home, and lifestyle in order to match them with the perfect cat or kitten. We do require an adoption contract/agreement that outlines expectations for both the adopter and our organization.
Adoption Fees are $60 for adults, $100-120 for most kittens, and $150+ for specialty breeds.

Go meet their pets

We have adoptable cats and kittens on display at Petco Casa Linda, Petco Carrollton, Petco Lewisville, Petco Prestonwood and Petco Mesquite all the time. Adoptions are typically by appointment only with limited adoption events. Please use the Ask About Me button or email us at Dallascatladyinfo@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

We work with local shelters to give cats and kittens more time to find just the right home. We have placed over 3,000 kitties with new families since 2013. We are also avid promoters of the Trap-Neuter-Release process to assist in the reduction of homeless cats by spaying and neutering and education of the public on the basics of the process.
