My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scout; A Loyal Companion Looking for a New Home

Scout is a 5-year-old Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog mix, born in August 2019. We’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he’s been a bright and energetic part of our family. True to his herding breed nature, Scout is intelligent, active, and thrives when he has a job to do or when he’s mentally engaged.

However, Scout has some behavioral challenges that need careful management. He is highly reactive, especially to doorbells or delivery trucks, and this has led to biting incidents in the past. He has been trained with shock and prong collars to manage this behavior. In addition, Scout has a significant fear of thunderstorms and rain, during which he hides, shakes, and becomes destructive unless closely monitored.

Scout would do best in a home with experienced owners who can manage his reactivity, without young children. He needs a calm, structured environment where he can feel safe.
