My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Arlo!

Arlo is a happy Chihuahua boy who is always looking to hang out with his human.

After being found abandoned in a crate, it took Arlo a few weeks to relax and believe that the world at his foster home wasn’t too bad after all.  While at first he was skittish, he now loves to play with his foster doggie siblings - especially the other under 2 year olds, but he manages to get the over 10 ones to play too several times a week.

He would love to sleep in bed with his human, but usually sleeps in his crate since the rest of the dogs sleep there too.  He has learned that while the dog walker was pretty scary, she is an awesome because walks are pretty dang great!

He is very good at peeing when he hears the word potty…just make sure you are OUTSIDE when you say it!  His foster mom figured out very quickly that saying “Let’s go outside to potty” did NOT have the desired results.  He tried to explain this to her, but she figured it out after only a few times.

He is a vocal little guy that loves to talk.   He likes to be IN your office with you when you are working from home, but he can also chill in his crate when you need to go into the office.

Arlo is crate trained, knows what potty means, loves walks, and would love to have humans he could hang with.  We don’t think he is suited for young children due to his skittishness with sudden movement and being less than 10 pounds, but middle schoolers or older will probably mesh with him.  Another dog to play with and take reassurance from would be best for him.

Arlo is vaccinated, chipped and will be neutered soon. His adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
