Dog is not in care of Waggin' Tails but we are aiding in exposure for re-homing of good boy, Kiddo.
Good With Kids: Due to not ever having exposure with young children, older kids would be best.
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Yes and large birds!
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Working on it
Knows Basic Commands: Yes
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate, loves to run alongside a four wheeler and protect a backyard but will also lay down and watch a game with you!
Physical Fence: He currently doesn't have a fence, lives on a larger property and goes out with the owner or occasionally uses a buzz collar to bring him back (it's a remote collar, not an electric fence.)
Story: Kiddo has had one (single) owner his entire life. His owner is now going into a retirement community and Kiddo is too large for the facility. No fault of his own, he is now looking for another home.
Approximate age / Weight: 6 years old and 75lbs
Personality: Kiddo is affectionate, enjoys people and loves to play with his older dog sister (who just recently passed.) He loves running the property, tug a war and a good chew bone. He wants to go outside and enjoy the outdoors, but will also come in and watch a good movie or the game with you!
Kiddo knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more. He’ll go in a crate (although his owner is retired so he doesn't spend much time in one) and could use some leash training if that is how you exercise.
New Home: Kiddo is filled with lots of love and will quickly become your best buddy. He’s great with other dogs, cats, birds and will be a great fit for an established family or single person!
We are not asking for an adoption fee, just a loving home that will give this guy another chance. Would set up a home visit to make sure it's a good fit. The Current owner lives in Saginaw, Michigan.
Contact: Please contact via text or phone Bob at 586-552-6805

More about this rescue
Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. Our dedicated volunteers rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and re-home all breeds of homeless dogs from area shelters or as owner-surrenders. Waggin' Tails is supported solely through donations and fund-raising efforts. Our volunteers receive no monetary payment for their activities. Instead, their reward is the knowledge that a dog's life has been saved that otherwise would have been lost.
