My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Alberto!

I’ve had a rocky start to my young life. I am working on trust right now and am looking for a family that is going to be patient with me and keep showing up. A few of the things on my wish list include to be played with, loved, cuddled, petted and told stories. I am not a fan of blankets or beds right now and I am just starting to get used to toys. I sleep best right now in smaller spaces because it makes me feel safe and secure. I am very slowly working on exploring the 725-foot apartment that I am currently living in and building an awareness of space. Dishwashers and air conditioners don’t bother me however vacuum cleaners worry me.

My foster mom has been working really hard at loving me up. After almost a week with her, I am at the point that I am cuddling up in her lap. I love when she tells me how loved I am and that I am super important, smart, funny and lovable and that I am the best cat out there. I show my appreciation by purring like a steam engine, giving her kisses, head butting her, and rubbing up against her. I tell stories through my purring as I am still working on how to use my meows to communicate.

I would do best with a family that has lots of love to give and is patient. I will do best in an environment that is stable, on the quieter side, loves to give me scratches and pet me. I may not do well in a family that has kids that are under 12 as I still get overstimulated rather easily with lots of activity.

If you are looking for your new best friend, I am it!

Alberto has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Alberto will be neutered and microchipped as part of the adoption fee.

All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting Alberto, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.
