My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:  Winnie is a super soft and sweet petite terrier shepherd mix who is estimated to be 2 years old and 33 lbs. She came into the overcrowded Stockton animal shelter with six puppies who she lovingly raised. They were rescued and now it's her turn. Willow is gentle and shy and melts hearts. She's super submissive with people and other dogs. Lacking confidence, she's quick to flop onto her back and show her belly but once she feels safe you get to see her cute little butt waggle! She does well in "gentle" playgroups but would be overwhelmed with a rough and tumble play style. We look forward to getting to know her loving personality in foster care.

Foster Update: Winnie is a sweet little thing. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes, and adores the dog savvy cat in his foster home. Winnie can be shy when first meeting new people, but does warm up and learn to trust. She is doing great with house and crate training, and working on her leash skills.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.

Animal History: Willow arrived to the Stockton shelter June 13 with six puppies who were rescued. She was at risk for space but heavily networked as a staff favorite and DGS tagged her, arriving to Seattle area foster care on 8/25/24. She will be available in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
